Gohan Club
The church I belong to has a club, so called “GOHAN Club”. My friend Sue made a club at the beginning of the year 2009. She and my husband chose the name “GOHAN” because this club is for having fun with friends and eating a good food together.
“GOHAN(御飯)” is Japanese word and literal meaning is “Rice”. (“GO”(御) is prefix to the word and showing respect, and “HAN” (飯) means “Rice”). But we, Japanese, also use the word as meaning of “Meal”. So if you say, ”ASA GOHAN (朝御飯)”, then it means Breakfast. (ASA means ”morning”). So ”GOHAN club” is “meal eating club”.
Well, at the GOHAN Club, everyone brings plate for share. We talk about food, how to cook etc… Then one day, I said send me a recipe and I will make a PDF file for easy to print and send it to all… but I haven’t done for a long time because I was busy…(lazy…).
Anyway, my busy (lazy) time was passed, so I will put the recipe on the blog a little by little.
